Straight from Atlanta, B.o.B hit NYC and shut down Manhattan’s Highline Ballroom last night as part of Myspace’s Secret Shows. If you weren’t in attendance you were definitely missing out. B.o.B performed to a packed venue in Manhattan’s lower west side. Evidenced by the shouts from the crowd, people were in attendance that originated from all over NYC, Atlanta, and even other areas outside of NYC. In typical B.o.B fashion he took the stage and delivered an energy packed set to an eager and anxious crowd of Ray Fanz. He went through a plethora of tracks sure to keep any B.o.B fan satisfied. He even took it back to his debut album performing “Don’t Let Me Fall,” “Bet I” with fellow rapper and friend Playboy Tre, and fan/crowd favorite “Nothin On You.” He then told the crowd to look up towards the ceiling and pretend they were outdoors and could see the stars in the night sky, which led into other fan favorite “Airplanes”. He even gave a shout out to his original B.o.B fans that were around for his mixtape days, back when he dropped Cloud 9, Epic, and No Genre.

However, B.o.B. never alienated his new fans because he made sure to perform many songs from his new album, Strange Clouds of course. One of the first songs he performed from his album was “Out Of My Mind” where he got some help on stage from his two amazing backup dancers. He even did some moves of his own when he was on stage with his dancers, especially during the performance of “Ray Bands.” He also performed his heavy hitting track “Play for Keeps." Bobby Ray made sure to slow it down as he sat at his piano as the true artist he is for “Where are You (B.o.B vs. Bobby Ray).” What other rapper do you know that raps, sings, plays piano and guitar? During the set he reversed the roles and played fan for a little bit by taking a couple of pictures with the crowd. Once B.o.B exited the stage he returned to screams from the crowd for an encore, where he dutifully took the stage to perform “So Good” before taking his tank top off and tossing it into the crowd for one lucky fan. He gracefully bowed before the crowd before exiting the stage and classily thanking all of his Bobby Ray supporters for coming out.
