I fell in love with B.O.B with songs such as "Haterz Everywhere," "Generation Lost," And "Little Rascal," but now it seems that he's taken a more mainstream approach with songs such as "Nothin' On You". I still think that his rapping great on the songs he making but the cahvy beats and choruses  are attracting a pop/pop rap audience.I convinced myself that it was just a few bad songs or he was trying something different but i think this song "She Can Get It" really sums up my point. http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=82613 . When i was told that he had a new song i was excited, but that really disappointing, it's really sad to see when i've supported him from day one.

Scratch that. It's a three way tie for my favorite song. "Created A Monster", "Put Me On", and "No Man's Land". I agree with your overall sentiment though. I would love to hear more music like this.

Fact is, most people wouldn't appreciate songs like "Generation Lost" or my personal favorite "No Man's Land". However, his music is still better than most crap out there. I think what is getting to us (as in the fans that have followed since his mixtapes) is that he's mainstream now. I wouldn't go as far as saying his music has turned into mainstream junk though. I think my favorite thing about his album is that he's breaking genre barriers. I know a lot of it is pop, but you've still got to love a song like "Magic". I can't think of any song like that that I heard on the radio. I'll be real though. I don't like "Nothin' on You" or "Airplanes" at all. However, I still think most of his album is his real music. "Don't Let Me Fall", "Past My Shades", "Ghost in the Machine", "The Kids", "Magic", "Fame", "Lovelier Than You", and "Airplanes Pt. II" are all good songs. They all make me think "that's B.o.B".

Also, I don't know if it truly has anything to do with it, but it is the adventures of Bobby Ray. B.o.B is behind "Haterz Everywhere", "Generation Lost", and this all sounds like Bobby Ray. Needless to say, like you, I'm hoping to see some more of his older self in the next album.
