    Interesting piece Roldens, nice writing. Nevertheless, if you use 'that' a little too often, it slows down the reading pace. Use the word judiciously - a way of working out if you're slowing down the narrative is by reading it out to yourself before 'going to print'. You'll get the hang of it after a while.
