    AVG - https://commbee.be/avg/

AVG, although this regulation came into effect on 24 May 2016, too many individuals haven't heard of it. Luckily, you have until May 25, 2018 to fully customize your own organization. But that date is coming shortly, so it's high time to read about it and take action!

    What's AVG?

AVG stands for General Data Protection Regulation. Additionally it is frequently known as GDPR (General Data Protection Legislation ), the overall, English term.

Simply speaking, it means that the information collection, use and transport law has shifted. On May 28, 2018 everyone has to have their affairs in order. From that date (and will!) Fines will be levied on those who don't comply. And these fines aren't tender: the maximum fine is 20 million, or 4% of the annual turnover of an organization!

    Who Is This Related To?

The AVG applies to all organizations that process personal data (or have them processed) of people that live in the EU. Bear in mind that the viewing or storage is already a form of processing.
    What's changed?

    • Strengthening and expanding privacy rights: people must give their consent voluntarily, especially and unambiguously. They have the right to see their information and withdraw their consent. At all times, folks are entitled to take that their information be deleted. Individuals must also always know what's going to happen to their information. In addition, organizations need to have the ability to prove they have obtained permission in a legitimate manner.

    • Processing principles: these are core principles with which all processing of personal data must comply:

    - Data must be processed in a legal and transparent method.
    - Personal information may only be utilized for a specific function, which should also be explicitly described.
    - Only the information that are essential for this purpose might be processed.
    - When the identification is no longer necessary for the purpose, this personal data have to be anonymized or deleted.
    - All private data must be correct and up-to-date.
    - Data have to be secured through technical and organizational measures.
